Hanoi: Vietnam and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation to ensure the comprehensive growth of Vietnamese children, with a particular focus on child care and protection, online safety, and equal opportunities for vulnerable groups. The commitment was highlighted at a meeting in Hanoi on June 24 between Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra and Silvia Danailov, UNICEF Representative in Vietnam.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored the mutual dedication to fostering an environment where every child in Vietnam can thrive. Both parties emphasized the importance of addressing the challenges that children face in the digital age and ensuring that all children, regardless of their background, have equal access to opportunities.
The collaboration aims to develop policies and programs that will support children's health, education, and well-being. By focusing on these areas, Vietnam and UNICEF seek to create a sustainable framework for the protection and empowerment of children, enabling them to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
