Vietnam Urges Comprehensive Peace in the Middle East

New York:Ambassador Do Hung Viet, Vietnam's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, expressed deep concern regarding the ongoing situation in the Middle East. He highlighted the increasing interconnection among various crises in the region during an open debate at the UN Security Council on October 15.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the ambassador referred to Vietnam's '500-day-and-night campaign' and the efforts in Ho Chi Minh City to find, recover, and bury the remains of 731 Vietnamese martyrs. He emphasized that the effects of war endure beyond the cessation of hostilities, leaving lasting wounds that complicate reconciliation, healing, and the rebuilding of trust across generations.
