Vietnam Values Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with India: Deputy PM

Hanoi: Vietnam is committed to preserving and expanding its traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with India, affirmed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son. Son made the remark while meeting with Indian Minister of State for External Affairs and for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Kirti Vardhan Singh on the sidelines of the 2nd ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) in Hanoi on February 25.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored the deep-rooted ties between the two nations, focusing on enhancing cooperation across various sectors. The discussions at the forum highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership and explored new avenues for collaboration.

Both leaders emphasized the need for increased bilateral engagements and reiterated their commitment to working closely on regional and global issues. The dialogue was seen as a significant step towards reinforcing the mutual cooperation that has been a cornerstone of Vietnam-India relations.
