Hanoi: Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), and Chairman of its Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac engaged in talks with Chan Chun Sing, the Assistant Secretary-General of the People’s Action Party (PAP) of Singapore, in Hanoi on July 21. Chan, who also serves as Singaporean Minister for Defence and Coordinating Minister for Public Services, is visiting Vietnam from July 20 to 22.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two nations. The discussions underscored mutual interests and explored avenues for cooperation in various sectors, enhancing the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore. Both parties expressed commitment to fostering deeper ties and collaboration on regional and international issues.
The visit marks an important step in the ongoing dialogue between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the People’s Action Party of Singapore. The exchange of ideas and mutual understanding is expected to bolster the political, economic, and cultural relations between the two countries.
