Vietnamese Culture Promoted at Multicultural Festival in Germany

Augsburg: Huong Viet magazine and the Vietnam-Germany Association in Schwaben co-organised a special cultural programme titled ‘Huong sac Viet’ (The Essence and Colours of Vietnam) on June 28-29 as part of Sommerfest, the largest multicultural festival in Augsburg city, Bavaria state, Germany. The event celebrated cultural diversity and gave second- and third-generation Vietnamese in Germany a chance to learn more about their roots.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the programme aimed to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam through various activities and performances. The event featured traditional Vietnamese music, dance, and cuisine, allowing attendees to experience the vibrant cultural tapestry of Vietnam. It served as an educational platform for younger Vietnamese generations in Germany to connect with their cultural heritage.

The festival attracted a diverse audience, including locals and international visitors, all eager to explore the cultural offerings of different communities. ‘Huong sac Viet’ was a highlight of the festival, drawing significant attention and appreciation from attendees. The organizers emphasized the importance of such events in fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.

The Vietnam-Germany Association in Schwaben and Huong Viet magazine expressed their commitment to continuing to promote Vietnamese culture in Germany through similar initiatives.
