Khon Kaen: Hundreds of Vietnamese expatriates from northeastern Thailand convened at the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen province on April 25 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, which occurred on April 30, 1975.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the event was marked by opening remarks from the Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen, Dinh Hoang Linh. He emphasized that the 1975 Spring Victory, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, represented a monumental triumph for the Vietnamese people. This victory was achieved through the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, and it was secured by the sacrifices of heroes and martyrs who gave their lives for national independence.
