Vietnamese FM, DPRK Officials Discuss Ways to Boost Bilateral Ties

Hanoi: Politburo member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, who is the Special Envoy of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, on May 13 had meetings with officials of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) as part of his ongoing visit to the Northeast Asian nation, focusing on measures to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation between the two countries.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions were aimed at exploring avenues to enhance diplomatic and economic relations between Vietnam and the DPRK. Both sides expressed a shared commitment to deepen their collaboration in various sectors, emphasizing the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships.

The visit by Le Hoai Trung signifies Vietnam's ongoing effort to foster stronger diplomatic connections with the DPRK, reflecting a broader strategy to engage with nations across the Asian region.
