Kuala lumpur: The 2026 Karate tournament for Vietnamese people in Japan, known as the KAVIJA CUP 2026, took place at the Tokorozawa gymnasium in Saitama city. The event, held on August 14, attracted participation from over 100 athletes representing various Vietnamese Karate clubs throughout Japan.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the tournament was organized by the Karate Association of Vietnamese in Japan (KAVIJA) under the auspices of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship and International Exchange Association (FAVIJA). The event also received support from the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. Participants included semi-professional athletes from six notable Vietnamese Karate clubs located in Tokyo, Saitama, Yokohama, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
