Phu Tho:General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam has called on Military Region 2 to enhance its defense readiness.

According to Vietnam News Agency, during a ceremony held on October 12 in Phu Tho to commemorate the 80th traditional day of the armed forces of Military Region 2, To Lam emphasized the need for the region to closely monitor developments, provide strategic advice promptly, and maintain the initiative in safeguarding the nation under all circumstances.

The leader, who also serves as Secretary of the Central Military Commission, urged the military region to effectively implement the Party's military and defense guidelines. He highlighted the importance of adapting these strategies to the new situation while considering local conditions.
