Vietnamese Pepper Sector Advised to Strengthen Position on Global Export Map

Hanoi: Global supply shortages and the rising demand for high-quality agricultural products are creating an excellent opportunity for Vietnam’s pepper industry to regain and enhance its position on the global export market. This can be achieved not only by increasing volume but also by strengthening brand identity and offering value-added products.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA) reported that as of mid-May, the country had exported 84,844 tonnes of various types of pepper, generating revenues of 585.2 million USD. Although the volume declined by approximately 10% year-on-year, the value surged by 45%, driven by a significant increase in export prices.
