Rio de janeiro: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse, and the delegation of Vietnam arrived at Galeao Airport in Rio de Janeiro city on the morning of July 5 (local time), marking the beginning of his engagement in the expanded BRICS Summit and a series of bilateral activities in Brazil. The Vietnamese leader and his delegation were greeted at the airport by Laudemar G. de Aguiar Neto, the Secretary for Trade Promotion, Science, Technology, Innovation and Culture of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Vietnamese Ambassador to Brazil Bui Van Nghi, and staff from the Vietnamese Embassy.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen Vietnam’s diplomatic and economic ties with the BRICS nations, notably Brazil. The expanded BRICS Summit will provide a platform for Vietnam to engage with emerging economies, discussing global challenges and opportunities.
