Vientiane: State President Luong Cuong and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane on April 24 afternoon, beginning a two-way state visit to Laos at the invitation of General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and President Thongloun Sisoulith. This is the first state visit to Laos by President Cuong.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit underscores the strong bilateral relations between Vietnam and Laos, with both nations aiming to further strengthen their cooperation across various sectors. The visit is expected to include discussions on economic collaboration, cultural exchange, and addressing regional issues of mutual interest.
