Vietnamese Top Legislator Receives Vice Chairman of NPC Standing Committee

Tashkent: Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China Losang Jamcan on the sidelines of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on April 7.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting between the two senior officials took place as part of the broader discussions and engagements at the IPU Assembly, where parliamentary leaders from around the world convened to discuss global issues and promote inter-parliamentary dialogue. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and China, focusing on legislative collaboration and mutual interests.

The discussions also highlighted the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in addressing regional and international challenges. Tran Thanh Man and Losang Jamcan exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in various fields, aiming to foster deeper ties between the two nations’ legislative bodies. The meeting underscored the commitment of both countries to work together for the peace and prosperity of the region.
