Hanoi: The consumer price index (CPI) in April increased by 0.07% compared to the previous month, representing a rise of 1.37% compared to December last year and 3.12% year-on-year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, on average, the CPI during the first four months of 2025 rose by 3.2% year-on-year, while core inflation went up 3.05%. The CPI growth was mainly driven by higher rental housing prices, food costs, and dining-out expenses.
The National Statistics Office (NSO) highlighted that these factors have significantly contributed to the upward trend in the CPI, reflecting the ongoing economic adjustments in the region.
