Vietnam’s Durian Exports Rebound Strongly

Hanoi: With the concerted efforts of localities, businesses, and farmers, Vietnam’s durian exports have gradually recovered since May 2025, regaining strong growth momentum.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment reported significant growth in durian exports over recent months. In May, June, and July, Vietnam exported 7,745 batches of fresh durians totaling over 207,000 tonnes. This figure is more than 10 times higher than the exports in the first four months of the year. Additionally, the country exported 560 batches of frozen durians weighing nearly 16,000 tonnes, marking an increase of almost 64.3%.

This rebound in durian exports highlights the successful collaboration between various stakeholders in the agricultural sector, who have worked diligently to overcome previous challenges. The recovery is seen as a positive sign for Vietnam’s agricultural exports, as the demand for durians continues to rise in international markets. The Ministry’s data reflects a promising trend for the coming months, with stakeholders optimistic about maintaining this growth trajectory.
