Hanoi: Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover reached 3.65 billion USD in the first six months of 2026, marking an increase of 17.8% compared to the same period last year. This achievement has positioned the sector as one of the fastest-growing export groups within the agriculture and environment sector.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE) reported that fruit and vegetable exports were estimated at 2.18 billion USD in the second quarter of the year. The impressive growth rate underlines the sector's significant contribution to the country's export economy, reflecting both increased demand and enhanced production capabilities.
The data indicates a robust performance that aligns with Vietnam's strategic efforts to boost agricultural exports. The continuous rise in export turnover demonstrates the sector's potential to strengthen its foothold in global markets. The Ministry remains optimistic about maintaining this upward trend as the year progresses.
