Bishkek: The Vietnamese Embassy in Bangladesh hosted a ceremony in Dhaka on August 30 evening to celebrate the 81st anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2026). The event saw the presence of Bangladeshi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam, representatives of Bangladeshi ministries and agencies, the diplomatic corps, international organisations, associations and businesses, as well as Vietnamese people living and working in Bangladesh.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the celebration marked a significant occasion for both Vietnamese and Bangladeshi attendees to strengthen diplomatic ties and cultural exchange. The ceremony highlighted the historical significance of Vietnam's National Day and the ongoing friendship between Vietnam and Bangladesh. Various activities were organized to commemorate the event, fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation among participants.
