Hanoi: The Lung Cu Border Guard Station, in coordination with the local Party committee and authorities, held a flag-raising ceremony in Lung Cu commune, northern province of Tuyen Quang on September 2 to mark Vietnam's 81st National Day. At nearly 1,500 meters above sea level, the flagpole stands as a sacred symbol of Vietnam's territorial sovereignty at the country's northernmost point. The 54 square meter national flag flying atop the flagpole symbolizes the unity of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the ceremony was attended by representatives from various ethnic communities, local officials, and members of the public. The event highlighted the importance of national unity and sovereignty, with the flag serving as a powerful reminder of the country's heritage and diverse cultural identity.
