Hanoi: The Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), held a ceremony on October 21 to announce and award the first full scholarships for Sri Lankan students planning to study at PTIT’s Hanoi campus. This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening educational ties between Vietnam and Sri Lanka.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the scholarship program provides comprehensive support, covering one year of Vietnamese language studies followed by a five-year engineering curriculum. The program aims to alleviate financial burdens by including full tuition, housing, living expenses, insurance, and round-trip airfare for the selected students. This initiative highlights Vietnam’s commitment to fostering international talent and expanding its educational outreach.
