Vietnam’s Tet Holiday Sees Surge in Tourism, Welcoming 14 Million Visitors

Hanoi: During the nine-day Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, Vietnam's tourism sector served an estimated 14 million visitors, marking a 12% increase compared to the previous year.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Sports and Tourism, several key destinations in the country experienced a significant rise in international arrivals.

Da Nang emerged as a popular destination, receiving an estimated 510,000 foreign visitors, which represents a 32% increase from the previous year. Meanwhile, Hue saw a remarkable surge, welcoming approximately 238,200 international tourists, a rise of 207%. Hanoi also experienced growth, with 217,000 international arrivals, up by 55%, while Ho Chi Minh City attracted around 170,000 visitors, reflecting a 51.7% increase. Additionally, Khanh Hoa and An Giang reported growth in overseas visitor numbers ranging between 23% and 28%.
