New York: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, arrived in New York on the evening of September 20. This visit marks his participation in the High-Level General Debate of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81) and a series of bilateral engagements in the United States. According to Vietnam News Agency, General Secretary and President Lam, along with the delegation, was welcomed at John F. Kennedy International Airport by Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Nguyen Quoc Dung, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN Do Hung Viet, and staff from both the embassy and the mission.
