Voter Turnout Surpasses 93% Nationwide in Vietnam

Hanoi: A total of 71,392,498 out of 76,609,388 registered voters across Vietnam had cast their ballots by 16:00 on March 15, achieving a voter turnout of 93.19%. Nguyen Thi Thanh, a member of the National Election Council and National Assembly Chairwoman, disclosed these figures to reporters at the Election Press Centre in Hanoi.

According to Vietnam News Agency, five out of the 34 provinces and cities reported turnout rates nearing 100%. Tuyen Quang led the list with a turnout of 99.86%, followed by Lao Cai at 99.81%, Lang Son at 99.3%, Dien Bien at 99.23%, and Lai Chau at 99.2%. This significant participation underscores the engagement of citizens in the electoral process.
