Vientiane: General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse hosted a welcome ceremony on December 1 for General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam, his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on their state visit to Laos. The ceremony was conducted at the Presidential Palace in Vientiane with the highest protocol reserved for a head of state.

According to Vietnam News Agency, after the welcome ceremony, the two leaders held talks and witnessed the exchange of cooperation documents between the two countries. The visit underscores the commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship and enhancing cooperation in various sectors. The discussions between the leaders are expected to pave the way for further collaboration and mutual support in areas of shared interest.
