Hanoi: As of October 6, the Government of Vietnam had received confirmations from nearly 100 countries and over 100 international and regional organizations to attend the Opening for the Signature of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (the Hanoi Convention), with the participation of numerous heads of state, government leaders, and ministers. Vietnam will host the signature opening ceremony and high-level conference of the convention, themed “Countering Cybercrime – Sharing Responsibility – Securing our Future,” in the capital city on October 25 and 26.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this significant international gathering underscores the global commitment to addressing cybercrime. The convention aims to foster collaboration among countries and organizations in combating cyber threats and ensuring a secure digital future. The involvement of a wide array of international leaders highlights the importance of unified efforts in countering cybercrime, a growing concern in the digital age. The event will provide a platform for discussions on best practices, shared responsibilities, and strategies to enhance cyber security globally.
