Seoul: The first-ever writing contest featuring Vietnamese students in the Republic of Korea (RoK) was held at Kyung Hee University in Seoul on December 6, becoming a highlight in efforts to foster cultural ties between the two countries. The event was jointly organised by the Korea-Vietnam Culture Communication Centre (KCCC), the G and M Global Foundation and the Bong and Seol Initiative.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the contest aimed to provide Vietnamese students in RoK with a platform to express their experiences and perspectives on life in a foreign country. Participants were encouraged to write about their personal journeys, cultural exchanges, and the challenges and opportunities they encounter while studying abroad. The event not only celebrated the students’ writing skills but also served as a bridge to enhance mutual understanding between Vietnamese and Korean cultures.
The organisers, including the KCCC, G and M Global Foundation, and the Bong and Seol Initiative, hope that such events will continue to promote cultural dialogue and strengthen the bonds between the two nations. They believe that by sharing their stories, Vietnamese students can contribute to a deeper appreciation of cultural diversity and foster a sense of community among international students in Korea.
