Youth Volunteers Mobilized to Enhance Local Administration and Online Services

Hanoi: More than 4,800 volunteer youth teams with over 241,000 members have been mobilized nationwide to support the operation of the two-tier local administration model and promote the provision of online public services. A ceremony was held in Hanoi on July 7 to mark the start of a two-month campaign running through August. Volunteers are tasked with assisting local authorities and communities in digital transformation efforts and improving administrative efficiency. Key tasks include updating population data following administrative mergers, guiding residents in using the VNeID app and digital platforms, training local officials in digital skills, and promoting awareness of digital transformation at the grassroots level.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the initiative aims to streamline administrative processes and enhance the accessibility and efficiency of public services. The volunteer youth teams will play a crucial role in facilitating the digital transition, ensuring that both local authorities and residents are well-equipped to navigate new digital frameworks. By focusing on grassroots engagement, the campaign seeks to foster a culture of digital literacy and empowerment throughout the community.

The youth volunteers will provide essential support in updating population data, a critical task following recent administrative mergers that require accurate and timely data adjustments. Additionally, by guiding residents in the use of the VNeID app and other digital platforms, the volunteers will help bridge the gap between technological advancements and community utilization, ensuring that digital tools are effectively integrated into daily life.

Training local officials in digital skills is another pivotal aspect of the campaign, as it ensures that government personnel are prepared to manage and operate within the new digital infrastructure. Through workshops and hands-on training sessions, officials will gain the necessary knowledge to lead their communities confidently into a digitally transformed future.

Overall, the campaign represents a significant step towards modernizing administrative functions and expanding the reach and impact of online public services across the nation, with youth volunteers at the forefront of this transformative journey.
