Hanoi: The 10th Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2026 officially commenced in the southern city of Dong Nai on July 17. This significant event has drawn nearly 300 athletes representing nine Asian countries and territories. The championship is set to showcase the skills and competitive spirit of participants from across the region.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the tournament is a collaborative effort organized by the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT), the Sports Authority of Vietnam, the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and other relevant agencies. This cooperation aims to ensure the smooth execution of the event and promote Pencak Silat as a martial art across Asia.
