New york: The 11th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT RevCon 11) officially concluded at the United Nations headquarters in New York on May 23 after four weeks of deliberations. The closing session was attended by UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs Izumi Nakamitsu, representatives from the 191 member states of the NPT, and delegates from numerous international organizations.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the conference, held under Vietnam's presidency, focused on assessing the implementation of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and addressing current challenges related to nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
