Quang Ninh: As many as 15 international delegations, along with the host nation Vietnam, comprising a total of 1,342 athletes and officials, have registered to participate in the 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championships. This event is scheduled to take place in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh from December 6 to 9. The championships will feature two distinct competitions: one specifically for policemen from various Asian countries, and another inclusive of children, teenagers, young people, and the elderly.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the event is anticipated to draw a total of 1,500 participants from 20 delegations. This marks a significant gathering of international and local participants, reflecting the growing interest and involvement in Taekwondo across different age groups and professions within Asia. The event aims to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship among police forces and the general public, providing a platform for showcasing talent and enhancing cross-cultural exchanges
