500-Day Campaign Receives War Memorabilia, Martyr Records

Hanoi: The Steering Committee for the Search, Recovery and Identification of Martyrs' Remains of Ho Chi Minh City on July 9 received war memorabilia and burial records of fallen soldiers from the research team for the Vietnam Wartime Accounting Initiative (VWAI).

According to Vietnam News Agency, the handover is part of an ongoing 500-day campaign aimed at honoring and remembering those who sacrificed their lives during the Vietnam War. The memorabilia and records are expected to play a crucial role in the identification and commemoration of martyrs, providing valuable information to families and researchers alike.

The initiative seeks to recover and identify the remains of soldiers who were classified as missing in action, thus offering a sense of closure to their families.
