Hanoi: Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung and Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs Penny Wong co-chaired the 8th Vietnam - Australia Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Canberra on August 12 morning (local time). This meeting was part of the Party General Secretary and State President To Lam's state visit to Australia.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss mutual interests between Vietnam and Australia. The discussions were expected to cover various topics, including trade, security, and regional cooperation, highlighting the commitment of both nations to enhance their strategic partnership.
