Hanoi: Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long has recently signed a decision recognising an additional 33 artifacts as national treasures. The newly-recognised national treasures include the Dak Son lithophone, which dates back approximately 3,500-3,000 years ago. Other significant artifacts include a ceramic pot from the Dong Son culture, estimated to be from 2,500-2,000 years ago, and the Vu Ban bronze drum from the 3rd-2nd century BC, also part of the Dong Son culture.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the list of new national treasures also features two Dong Son bronze drums, both dating back to the 3rd-2nd century BC. Additionally, a Dong Son bronze jar from the 3rd-1st century BC has been recognised. These artifacts highlight the rich cultural heritage and historical significance of the Dong Son culture, known for its advanced metalworking and artistic achievements.
