An Giang Focuses on Community-Based Tourism Development

An giang: Located at the headwaters of the Mekong River and serving as a gateway to the sea, An Giang province boasts abundant resources for community-based tourism development. The province is distinguished by its unique cultural convergence of Cham, Khmer, and Kinh communities, along with attractions such as Cam Mountain, Sam Mountain, the Tra Su cajeput forest, and traditional craft villages.

According to Vietnam News Agency, in 2025, An Giang welcomed over 24 million visitors, including over 1.9 million international arrivals, generating total revenue of 67.7 billion VND (2.6 million USD). In the coming period, An Giang's tourism sector will continue to develop community-based tourism to support local communities in improving livelihoods through tourism based on cultural and natural resources.
