Phu quoc: The People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang is accelerating the implementation of projects serving the APEC Economic Leaders' Week in 2027 (APEC 2027). Simultaneously, the committee is also carrying out land-origin verification, vocational transition support, job placement, resettlement, and other policies for people affected by site clearance. It is urgently rolling out a series of key infrastructure projects in preparation for the event, with priority given to building resettlement areas to stabilize the lives of affected residents and ensure construction progress on schedule.

According to Vietnam News Agency, these initiatives are part of a broader strategy to ensure that Phu Quoc is adequately prepared to host the significant international event. The focus on resettlement and job placement aims to minimize disruptions for residents whose properties are affected by the development projects. The committee is working on ensuring that all projects are completed on time and meet the required standards for hosting the global summit.
