Art Exhibition Connects Beauty with Buddhist Compassion, Wisdom

Hanoi: The ninth edition of the Buddhist art exhibition 'Sen dau ha' (Lotus in early summer) opened in Hanoi on May 24 during celebrations for Vesak 2570, offering a contemplative artistic space inspired by Buddhist compassion, wisdom, and inner peace. Organised by the Central Cultural Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), the exhibition features works by the Mac Huong Buddhist Artists Group in collaboration with artists from the UNESCO Hanoi Fine Arts Centre.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the exhibition showcases a diverse range of artworks that embody the essence of Buddhist teachings, aiming to create a bridge between art and spirituality. The collaboration between the Mac Huong Buddhist Artists Group and the UNESCO Hanoi Fine Arts Centre brings together a unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles, reflecting the depth and breadth of Buddhist culture.

The event not only celebrates Vesak 2570 but also serves as a platform for artists to express their interpretations of Buddhist values through various mediums. The artworks on display are intended to evoke a sense of tranquility and introspection, encouraging visitors to engage with the themes of compassion and wisdom on a deeper level.

By integrating these core Buddhist principles into the art exhibition, the organisers hope to inspire attendees to reflect on their own spiritual journeys and foster a greater understanding of the teachings of Buddhism. The exhibition is expected to attract art enthusiasts and spiritual seekers alike, providing them with an opportunity to experience the confluence of art and spirituality in a serene setting.
