Bac ninh: Stable early-season lychee prices at relatively high levels and strong demand across traditional and online channels are bolstering grower sentiment in northern Bac Ninh province as the peak harvest begins.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Bac Ninh has sold roughly 4,010 tonnes of early-ripening lychee so far, including more than 2,921 tonnes consumed domestically and nearly 1,089 tonnes exported.
This successful start to the lychee season has been attributed to stable pricing and significant demand, which have encouraged growers in the region. The provincial Department of Industry and Trade has reported that early lychees have been well-received in both local and international markets, highlighting the fruit's popularity and the effectiveness of distribution channels.
The export of over 1,000 tonnes of lychees overseas marks a promising beginning for Bac Ninh's lychee growers, who anticipate further growth in demand as the harvest progresses. The province's strategic focus on both domestic consumption and international exports is seen as a key driver in maintaining high morale among the local farming community.
