ASEAN and Republic of Korea Collaborate on Crime Scene Investigation Training.

Da Nang: A training course on crime scene investigation (CSI) has commenced in the central city of Da Nang, Vietnam, aimed at enhancing the skills of investigators from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Republic of Korea (RoK). The course, which opened on November 25, focuses on the exchange of best practices and experiences in the field of crime scene investigation.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event has gathered nearly 100 representatives from ASEAN member states and Timor-Leste. The participants include leading experts in crime scene investigation and digital forensic techniques from the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA), the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL), and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The initiative is designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between ASEAN countries and the RoK, with an emphasis on improving the proficiency of investigators in handling crime scenes. The involvement of international org
anizations like INTERPOL and UNODC highlights the global importance of effective crime scene management and the need for continuous improvement in investigative techniques.

This training course is expected to play a significant role in strengthening regional security and enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement agencies in Southeast Asia and the Republic of Korea.
