Hanoi: The ASEAN Committee in the Czech Republic (ACP) organized a ceremony in Prague on August 20 to commemorate the 59th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which was established on August 8, 1967. The event was attended by representatives from the Czech Government, ASEAN embassies, and numerous international guests.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the ceremony attracted notable figures such as Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Marie Chatardova and First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Sechter. Ambassadors from ASEAN member states in the Czech Republic, along with diplomatic officials and hundreds of guests from foreign missions and international organizations, were also present. This year's celebration was coordinated by the Thai Embassy, which currently holds the chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in the Czech Republic, and was part of the ASEAN Family Day 2026.
