Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Organisation Established for 16th Tenure

Hanoi: A resolution of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on the establishment of the Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Organisation for the 16th-tenure NA was announced at a ceremony in Hanoi on August 21, attended by NA President Tran Thanh Man. Under the resolution, the Presidium comprises one chairperson, three vice chairpersons, and one secretary-general. Politburo member and NA Permanent Vice President Do Van Chien has been appointed Chairperson of the Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Organisation for the 16th tenure.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the establishment of this organisation marks a significant step in the NA's efforts to enhance international relations and cooperation. The newly formed Presidium, led by Do Van Chien, is expected to play a crucial role in fostering parliamentary diplomacy and promoting Vietnam's interests on the global stage. The structure of the organisation, with its designated leadership roles, aims to ensure effective operation and strategic engagement in international parliamentary activities.
