Australia Firms Encouraged to Boost Investment Links with Vietnam

Canberra: Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam met with Simon White, President of the Australia-Vietnam Business Council in Queensland (AVBCQ), at the Vietnamese Embassy in Canberra on April 23 to promote stronger business and investment ties.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on encouraging Australian firms to increase their investment in Vietnam. Ambassador Pham Hung Tam emphasized the potential benefits of enhanced economic collaboration between the two countries. The discussion highlighted sectors where Australian businesses could explore potential opportunities in Vietnam, aiming to create mutually beneficial partnerships.

Simon White expressed the AVBCQ's commitment to supporting Australian companies interested in entering or expanding their operations in the Vietnamese market. He noted that Vietnam's growing economy presents various opportunities for Australian investors, particularly in industries such as technology, agriculture, and infrastructure.

The meeting at the Vietnamese Embassy is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the bilateral economic relationship. Both parties agreed to facilitate more dialogue and collaboration between Australian and Vietnamese businesses to achieve their shared investment goals.
