Vientiane: Politburo member and Permanent member of the Secretariat of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee Vilay Lakhamphong on April 9 hosted a banquet for visiting Politburo member and Permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu. On this occasion, Tu and his entourage joined the traditional wrist-tying ceremony which symbolises hospitality and good wishes.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the event was part of an official visit aimed at strengthening the ties between the two countries. The wrist-tying ceremony is a significant cultural tradition in Laos, often performed to express goodwill and foster unity among guests and hosts. The presence of Tran Cam Tu and his delegation highlights the ongoing commitment to fostering a strong relationship between the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
