Vientiane: Politburo member and Permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu met with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Vientiane, Laos, on April 9.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting aimed to strengthen the ties between Vietnamese nationals in Laos and their home country. Tran Cam Tu emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong connection with Vietnamese citizens abroad, highlighting their role in fostering bilateral relations between Vietnam and Laos.
During the engagement, Tran Cam Tu addressed various concerns and issues faced by the Vietnamese community in Vientiane. He assured them of the Party's commitment to supporting Vietnamese nationals living overseas, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
The visit underscored the CPV's ongoing efforts to enhance diplomatic relations and cultural exchanges with neighboring countries, with a particular focus on engaging with Vietnamese expatriates to strengthen the community's bond with Vietnam.
