Ca Mau, Chinese Firm Join Forces in 5-Billion-USD Plan for Urban Rail, Smart Transport


Ca mau: The People’s Committee of Ca Mau province and China’s Pacific Construction Group (PCG) have taken a significant step toward advancing urban infrastructure by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on January 13. The agreement centers on strategic cooperation to plan and develop an urban railway network and implement a transit-oriented development (TOD) model. This initiative aims to seamlessly integrate urban development with public transport surrounding stations.



According to Vietnam News Agency, the signing ceremony underscored the commitment of both parties to cooperate on principles of mutual benefit. The terms of the agreement are aligned with international treaties to which both Vietnam and China are signatories, as well as adhering to the current laws of Vietnam. This partnership marks a substantial investment of 5 billion USD, reflecting a shared vision for modernizing transportation infrastructure and enhancing urban connectivity.
