Ca Mau:Authorities in Ca Mau province recently met with a World Bank mission to discuss the progress of a sustainable fisheries development project, which is supported by a loan from the World Bank.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the provincial People's Committee approved the project on August 4, 2025. The project involves a total investment of approximately 536 billion VND (23.1 million USD), with over 390 billion VND sourced from World Bank loans.
This initiative, set to be implemented from 2026 to 2029, is focused on enhancing the local fisheries sector. It aims to boost global integration, improve infrastructure, innovate technology, and enhance management and production capacity. Additionally, the project seeks to adapt to climate change and prioritize environmental protection.
