New York: The California state of the United States has consistently regarded Vietnam as a key partner and prioritizes strengthening its relationship with the nation, stated State Treasurer Fiona Ma. She made these remarks during a meeting with Vietnamese National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh on March 17. The meeting was part of Thanh’s visit to the US to participate in the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Ma commended Vietnam for its dynamism, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit, which she observed firsthand when she led a trade delegation to Vietnam in November 2024. During her visit to California, Nguyen Thi Thanh also engaged in a discussion with Senator Josh Becker, who is the Chair of the Senate Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Communications.
