Can Tho: The Mekong Delta city of Can Tho has expressed its desire to bolster cooperation with US enterprises and localities in fields such as economics, education, healthcare, and sustainable environmental development. This initiative was articulated by Nguyen Van Hieu, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, during a meeting with US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting, which took place on November 21, also included US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Susan Burns and a delegation from the US Embassy in Vietnam. They attended a workshop focused on exploring opportunities for Can Tho’s businesses to expand their reach into the US market. The delegation also visited a circular agriculture model that produces organic fertilizer from rice straw and a straw mushroom farming model at Tien Thuan Cooperative in Vinh Thanh district.
