Cao Bang Emerges as Tourist Hotspot with 47.7% Arrival Growth in H1

Cao bang: A rugged mountainous province in northern Vietnam, Cao Bang is emerging as a tourist hotspot, pulling in 1.52 million visitors in the first half of 2025.

According to Vietnam News Agency, there was a significant increase of 47.7% in tourist arrivals compared to the previous year. Of these visitors, 1.46 million were domestic travelers, marking a 44.3% rise.

The visitor boom has significantly benefited the local economy, generating 1.543 trillion VND (64 million USD), which is nearly double the revenue from the previous year and represents 77.1% of the annual target. The surge in tourists has also positively impacted the hospitality sector, with hotels and guesthouses experiencing a solid 55% occupancy rate.
