Ho chi minh city: A memorial and requiem ceremony was held for victims of the COVID-19 pandemic at No. 1 Ly Thai To Park. On the same day, at Viet Nam Quoc Tu Pagoda, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter in Ho Chi Minh City, accompanied by thousands of monks, nuns, and followers, inaugurated the Medicine Buddha sutra chanting festival.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the events were marked by a collective effort to honor those who lost their lives during the pandemic and to pray for peace across the nation. The ceremonies provided an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance and reflection.
