Phuoc hoi: The Vietnam Coast Guard Region 3 Command, in collaboration with relevant agencies from Lam Dong province, conducted legal education activities aimed at local fishermen to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing on August 22-23. This initiative was part of the 'Coast Guard Accompanies Fishermen' programme and took place in the wards of Phuoc Hoi and Tien Thanh.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the programme included the distribution of 90 gift packages and essential supplies to families of individuals who have rendered meritorious services to the nation, as well as to disadvantaged fishermen. Additionally, the Coast Guard Region 3 Command handed out 200 national flags, 200 IUU fishing awareness leaflets, and flashlights to local fishermen, emphasizing the importance of sustainable and regulated fishing practices.
