Corrections Department confirms Seri Pisut’s name never visited Thaksin

Corrections Department Director-General confirms that Seri Pisut’s name was never mentioned to visit Thaksin while he was detained on the 14th floor of Police General Hospital.

Mr. Sahakarn Petcharin, Director-General of the Department of Corrections, mentioned the case where Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temiyaves, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, held a press conference to reveal evidence of messages in the Line application stating that someone had arranged to visit Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra while he was being held in custody on the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital. He said that the Department of Corrections is ready to provide clarification if there are any allegations and if any relevant agencies call for an investigation, and will send officials involved in the supervision of Mr. Thaksin to provide information. In the case of Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth, he confirmed that the Department of Corrections has never permitted a visit. The list of those who visited Mr. Thaksin only has 10 names, which are relativ
es and lawyers. As for the Line chat messages, we cannot say how this is possible. The Department of Corrections has a duty to take care of patients and control them according to all regulations. It has never permitted Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth to visit.

When asked if it was possible for another person or a person on the 10 list to visit, the Corrections Department Director-General said that permission must be requested from the guarding officer first. According to the report, Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth has never been allowed to visit.

The Corrections Department Director-General added that during the time that Thaksin was on the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital, officers were on duty 24 hours a day. We will have to see what additional information Pol. Gen. Serisuth will disclose, but the Corrections Department can confirm it and is ready to provide clarification.

Sources revealed that in the custody of Mr Thaksin at the Police General Hospital, there are 100 prison officers involved who will have to give s
tatements to the NACC, including the executives of the Department of Corrections.
